Wednesday, June 14th, 2017 1:36:03 by fatimaarshadBoxing champ Amir Khan was chased by an angry group of men and got attacked by them after a road rage accident in London. The incident took place on Wednesday when a car rammed into Khan’s £100,000 Range Rover after he took a wrong turn.
The accident took place in Khan’s hometown of Bolton in Greater Manchester when the boxer was driving down to do some errands. After the collision, a group of men from the other car and the boxer got engaged in an argument over the accident. Several men attacked Khan and threw punches in his direction, according to eye witnesses.
So far no arrests have been made in the case which took place at around 9:15 PM local time on Friday. The boxer’s spokespersons have also not made any mention of the incident.
According to a Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman, there was an incident of road rage assault reported that night. ‘We were called to reports of road rage incident/assault…It appears the person driving has made a wrong turn and this has angered the person behind them and there’s been an altercation,” she said.
This is not the first time that Khan has encountered problems on the road as in 2012, he was targeted by a gang of six men who tried to steal his Range Rover by ambushing him after he got out of a club with his brother Haroon in Birmingham.
Both the brothers fought off the men, who ran away following the altercation. The gang later posted a video online claiming to have stolen the keys to Khan’s Porsche and a Louis Vitton wallet containing 500 Euros.
