Meera, Captain Naveed wedding reception planned for next month

It appears that Lollywood actress Meera is finally ready to settle down with the love of her life, Captain Naveed. According to the latest reports, the actress is all set to make things public with her husband Captain Naveed in an extravagant ceremony which is scheduled to take place in Lahore next month.

According to the details provided, Meer and Captain Naveed got married two years back in the United States, but they kept things private till now. One of the reasons for doing so was that another man had claimed to be Meera’s first husband. However, now it appears that things have settled down as preparations for the wedding are in full swing.

Just last month, Meera had hinted that she was going to tie the knot with a mystery man soon. However, she declined to reveal the identity of the person at that time, claiming that the media caused her anguish by always creating hurdles in her personal life because of which she has not been able to get married till now.

The biggest hurdle might have been an objectionable video of Meera and Captain Naveed which went viral and which prompted both the families to banish the actress form their homes. In addition to that, the actress is already entwined in a legal battle with a man named Sheikh Atique, who claims to be her first husband.

Meera’s father, Sarwar Shah, recently spoke about his daughter’s impending wedding saying; “Meera has had her nikkah with Captain Naveed already but there was this issue of Sheikh Atique that sprung up; he was claiming to be married to my daughter,” said Sarwar. “But he has not been able to provide any solid proof of their alleged marriage and our family wants to move on from this. The time is right for Meera and Naveed. We will announce the dates next month and send invitations out to all our relatives and family members.”

The reception will take place in Lahore, and preparations are already underway.
