Peshawar school principal arrested for sexually abusing, filming women

A principal of a private school in Hayatabad, Peshawar, has been arrested on charges of sexually abusing women, filming them through hidden cameras and later blackmailing them. The accused has confessed to his crimes on Thursday in a court and will be charged accordingly.

According to the details provided, the principal was arrested from the school on July 14, after one of his victims reported the crime to the police. Even though the crime had been taking place for several years, this was the first time it had been reported as most of his victims were afraid of his threats of blackmailing them through their explicit videos.

An FIR was registered against the sexual offender under several sections of the Pakistan Penal Code and according to its details, the accused used to bring women from outside the school for sexual favors. He would then film them though hidden cameras which were planted by him in secret locations.

When the police raided the vicinity, they found spy cameras, condoms, drugs to enhance sexual performance, laptops, USBs and memory cards containing the explicit videos. In addition to these things, a 9mm pistol and hashish-filled cigarettes were also recovered from the principal’s dwelling.

He was presented before Peshawar judicial magistrate Asghar Khan on Thursday where he confessed to recording the women and blackmailing them, and claimed that he was ashamed of his actions.

The accused further clarified that he would only bring sex workers to the school and never abused the school’s female staff or students. “I just used to sit with them [women other than sex workers] to have chit chat or a hug – relations other than sex,” he claimed.

He added that the videos were made only for his own eyes and for viewing later for sexual pleasure.

A Magistrate hearing the case sent him to jail on a 14-day judicial remand.
