Angelina Jolie opens up about post-split plans in latest interview
Thursday, July 27th, 2017 12:23:04 by fatimaarshadAngelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were once considered a power couple in Hollywood. However, they split up last year and since then everyone has been wondering what Jolie will do with her life considering she also has six children to look after.
The actress revealed some of her plans in a latest interview for the publication Vanity Fair and it appears that she will be focusing less on her acting career and more on being a good mother.
In the interview, Jolie said that after splitting with Pitt in September, her life was focused more on looking after her health and her children.
“I actually feel more of a woman because I feel like I’m being smart about my choices, and I’m putting my family first, and I’m in charge of my life and my health. I think that’s what makes a woman complete,” Jolie said.
The actress has also ventured into the field of direction and her first film called ‘First They Killed My Father’ has premiered in Cambodia and is due to be released globally on Netflix in September. The movie is about the Khmer Rouge regime in the 1970s, under which more than 1 million people died.
Other than promoting the upcoming film, Jolie says she has no interest in working on another project at the moment and will focus on her family.
“I’m just wanting to make the proper breakfast and keep the house,” she told Vanity Fair.
“That’s my passion. At the request of my kids, I’m taking cooking classes. As I go to sleep at night, I think, ‘Did I do a great job as a mom or was that an average day?'”
“I’ve been trying for nine months to be really good at just being a homemaker and picking up dog poop and cleaning dishes and reading bedtime stories,” she said. “And I’m getting better at all three.”
Jolie’s interview appears in the September issue of Vanity Fair, out on newsstands on Aug. 8.
