Swiss couple murdered in Mombasa while on vacation

An elderly Swiss couple had gone to Kenya’s coastal city of Mombasa to spend their vacation. However, something terrible and unexpected happened there which resulted in their death and the police are now looking for answers.

According to the details provided, the bodies of the husband and wife were found dumped by a country road in Kenya’s coastal city of Mombasa. They were found with severe injuries to their bodies and police are now looking for the suspect. It has been reported that the caretaker of a property where the couple had been due to stay, is being sought for questioning.

The Regional police chief Larry Kiyeng said that the elderly couple had flown to Kenya on Saturday and they had planned to stay at a private residence in Nyali, which is a high-end estate in Mombasa.

“They were expected to arrive by midnight but something happened between the airport and the home. We have found some evidence from a saloon car which was parked at the residence,” Kiyeng, told Reuters, without giving details.

According to reports, the bodies of both husband and wife were found wrapped in a blanket near a local nightclub on the outskirts of the city.

“They have severe injuries. One has deep cuts on the head and it seems they were killed using sharp and blunt objects,” Rotich told Reuters by telephone.

The caretaker had gone to pick up the Swiss nationals from the airport but he has been missing since then.
