These bailable warrants were sent by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) after they were issued by an accountability court to ensure their presence during the next hearing.
Nawaz’s children; Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz and Maryam Nawaz have been summoned to appear in court on Tuesday with regards to three corruption references against them by the NAB. In addition, Maryam’s husband, Captain (retd) Safdar was also sent a court summon at his London address.
The court also directed the family members to submit surety bonds worth Rs 1 million each.
The judge presiding over the case, Mohammad Bashir, ordered the Sharif children to appear in court on October 2, which is the next date of hearing. At the moment, Hassan, Hussain and Maryam Nawaz are all in London in order to look after their ailing mother, Kulsoom Nawaz, who is undergoing cancer treatment in London.
Meanwhile the Nawaz Sharif came back to Pakistan on September 25 and appeared before the accountability court which is hearing three cases against him. He was scheduled to leave for London again after it was learnt that Kulsoom’s health had deteriorated and she was shifted to the hospital again.
However, she became stable again after which Nawaz Sharif delayed his plans to visit London.
The court has set the next date of the hearing on October 2, when it will indict the disqualified prime minister.
