Teenager charged with molesting, murdering two young boys in Faisalabad seminary

A teenager and four others have been arrested by the Faisalabad police for molesting an eight-year-old boy and later murdering him by throwing him off the roof of a seminary where they all were admitted for studying.
The child’s body was found lying naked on a lane next to the madrassa which is located in Madina Town on Thursday.
The incident took place at a madrassa in Faisalabad in which boys are tasked with studying the Quran under the guidance of male teachers.
According to reports, the residents of the area noticed the dead child’s body lying naked on the street at 4 am on Thursday and immediately called up the police.
No one touched the body till the time the police arrived five hours later. Some of the residents reported that they had repeatedly called up the police to arrive at the crime scene immediately but the police took its time.
This is not the first time that a young boy belonging from the same madrassa has been murdered. Just a few months ago, a nine-year-old boy was also found dead in a nearby empty plot. That child had also been raped before being murdered.
The police arrested a 16-year-old student at the madrassa and four others including its administrator, Abdullah.
The teenager has confessed to molesting and killing both the children.
Such incidents of sexual abuse in seminaries are not uncommon in Pakistan. However, most of the times the perpetrators run free and escape justice.
