Another Saudi prince dies under mysterious circumstances
Tuesday, November 7th, 2017 12:01:49 by fatimaarshadJust a day after it was reported that Saudi Prince Mansour Bin Muqrin had been killed in a helicopter crash, news of the death of another Saudi prince made headlines today.
According to AllIthad News, Saudi Royal Court issued a news release saying that the Saudi royal family was mourning the death of the prince, who died at the age of 44. The prince who died has been identified as Prince Aziz, who is the youngest son of King Fahd Bin Abdulaziz alSaud.
The prince was reportedly arrested on Sunday in a recent war initiated by the government against its corrupt rulers. The circumstances surrounding the Prince Aziz’s death were not shared but according to some sources, he either died in custody or during his arrest.
It was reported earlier by several sources that Prince Aziz was embroiled in a gunfight with officials which eventually led to his arrest. Later reports emerged that he had been hospitalized and eventually the news of his death surfaced.
The alMasdar news network initially put up the news of the prince’s death, but later removed the piece. Rumors of his death began doing the rounds after Former FBI special agent Ali H Soufan tweeted about it.
He said Abdul Aziz was ‘arrested’ a day before and suggested that the prince either died while in custody or during the attempts to arrest him as part of Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman’s great purge.
So far a number of government officials, members of the royal family and business tycoons have been accused of financial wrongdoings and will be prosecuted accordingly.
