Angry wife prompts emergency landing of Qatar Airways flight

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned; the example of this idiom was experienced firsthand by passengers aboard a Qatar Airways flight which was en-route to Bali from Doha.

An enraged woman prompted the Qatar Airways flight to make an emergency landing after she found out that her husband was cheating on her. Apparently, the shocking discovery was made during the flight and the woman could not keep a control on her emotions, due to which things spiraled out of control.

It has been reported that the woman was an Iranian national, who was going to Bali with her husband and son. During the flight, when her husband was sleeping, she used his fingerprint to open his phone. She discovered that her husband was carrying out an alleged affair with another woman and she found out all the details through their conversations.

Angered by the discovery, the woman started hitting her husband. The cabin crew tried to intervene to contain the situation but they were unable to do so. When the situation got out of hands, the pilots decided to make an unscheduled landing in the southern Indian city of Chennai.

The woman and her family were taken off the plane, when then went on its way to Indonesia. “The family spent the day at Chennai airport and was sent to Kuala Lumpur by a Batik Air flight. No police action was taken,” an official said.

When Qatar Airways was contacted for a comment, the company could not be reached.
