Sylvester Stallone denies raping 16-year-old
Thursday, November 23rd, 2017 5:03:48 by fatimaarshadIt appears that action star Sylvester Stallone is the latest person to come under the rape allegations which have started surfacing ever since Harvey Weinstein scandal unfolded.
According to the latest reports, Stallone was accused of raping a 16-year-old girl back in the 1980s. The victim herself levelled these allegations against him and said that she held the truth because she was scared of the consequences.
Meanwhile the actor has denied these charges and a statement was released through his spokesperson.
Michelle Bega, the spokesperson, said, “This is a ridiculous, categorically false story. No one was ever aware of this story until it was published, including Mr Stallone. At no time was Mr Stallone ever contacted by any authorities or anyone else regarding this matter.”
The incident reportedly took place while Stallone was filming Over the Top in Las Vegas in 1986. The unnamed woman said that she was staying at the Las Vegas Hilton hotel with family friends for 10 days at that time. Over there she was introduced to the then-40-year-old stat by another actor David Mendenhall, who was playing Stallone’s son in the movie.
According to the police complaint, the woman was ‘intimidated’ into having sex with the star and his bodyguard Michael De Luca.
She claimed she had sex with Stallone and he encouraged his bodyguard to join them. She allegedly became ‘very uncomfortable’ with the encounter, but felt that she ‘had no choice.’
After the incident, Stallone allegedly threatened her and if she told anyone about it, ‘They would have to beat her head in’. As to why she did not pursue charges at the time, it was because she was “humiliated and ashamed,” as well as being “scared”, according to the police report.
Meanwhile it has also been confirmed that the police report filed at that time is also authentic.
