Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s only son turns back on father’s empire, becomes ‘maulana’

The infamous don Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar is having sleepless nights these days because the only heir to his illegitimate empire has turned to religion—Ibrahim’s son has become a Muslim religious cleric and is reportedly not interested in his father’s money.

According to the Indian police, the 31-year-old son of the renowned mafia, Moin Nawaz D Kaskar has chosen an entirely different path from that of his father and has become a ‘maulana’.

Indian police officer Pradeep Sharma talked to the press about this revelation saying; “Moin is understood to be deadly against his father’s illegal activities which have given the entire family a notorious reputation worldwide and made many of them wanted fugitives everywhere,” said the Anti-Extortion Cell head in Thane city.

Ibrahim has eluded Indian authorities for decades and little is known about the private affairs of the don. However, this information came to the officers’ ears through Ibrahim’s younger brother Iqbal Ibrahim Kaskar, who is in police custody. Iqbal, who was arrested in September, is currently under interrogation by the Thane AEC in connection with three extortion cases.

It was also reported that Ibrahim is facing a tough mental dilemma as the vast underworld empire will soon be without an heir if his son does not claim it. One of Ibrahim’s brother, Anees Ibrahim Kaskar is ageing and not in the best of health, while another is already dead.

“His son is practically estranged from the family and all its businesses since the past few years, but it is not clear if he is on speaking terms with his father,” said Sharma, renowned as “encounter specialist” of the past, dreaded by the mafia.

According to Iqbal Ibrahim, his nephew Moin had become a respected and qualified Maulana and a Hafiz-e-Quran. He has also left the family’s luxurious lifestyle and moved to live in a mosque adjacent to their home.
