Brother, sister killed in Karachi for refusing marriage proposal

A brother and sister were reportedly killed in Karachi after unidentified men opened for on them in Karachi’s Sachal Goth area. The incident took place on Tuesday morning and it is being reported that they were killed because they rejected a marriage proposal.

The police are investigating the incident but so far the suspects have not been arrested. It was reported that unidentified men entered their house in Bilawal Shah Colony and opened fire on them. The deceased have been identified as 30-year-old Awal Sher and 25-year-old Taj Bibi. They belonged to Mohmand Agency and have been living in Karachi for the past few years.

As soon as the siblings were discovered, they were rushed to the hospital but they were already dead by the time they reached. Police have registered a double murder case against the suspects and are on the lookout for them.

Meanwhile another such incident took place in Mandi Bahauddin on November 10, when a girl was set on fire for refusing a marriage proposal. The victim, a girl in her mid-twenties, survived the attack and recorded her statement with the police telling them that the suspect, Tasawur, took her to his home by deception. He then tied her hands and feet and set her on fire.

She screamed for help due to which the neighbors came to her rescue and immediately took her to the hospital. She was given medical treatment there and the doctors revealed that she had sustained burns on 60% of her body.

The police arrested the suspect and have registered a case against him.
