School Principal killed by husband to make second marriage public

A school principal in Karachi was killed by her own husband because he wanted to make his second marriage public. After just two weeks of the incident taking place, police claimed to have solved the murder case of the principal which had left many people shocked.

According to the details provided, Ambreen Fatima was shot dead on December 10 when she and her husband, Ali Hassan, were on their way home in Soldier Bazaar after attending a family event.

Initially, Hassan told the police that his wife was shot dead by robbers when he offered resistance during a robbery incident. However, the police had been suspicious of the husband right from the beginning and he was taken in for questioning.

During interrogation, Hassan admitted to killing his own wife because he had married another woman in secret and now she and her brother were pressuring Hassan to make the marriage public and perform rukhsati.

Later, the police also arrested the suspect’s second wife, Sahar Shams, and her brother Balaaj.

It was found out that Hassan was employed in an admin job in the same school where his wife was a principal. His second wife was also working there as a teacher and an affair began between the two. Eventually Hassan married her and was later afraid to disclose the marriage to his second wife due to which he killed her.

A case has been registered against all three suspects and further interrogations are underway.
