Police solves mystery murder case of Saira Naseer; own son found guilty
Friday, December 29th, 2017 12:53:58 by fatimaarshadThe Hyderabad police on Thursday claimed to have solved the mysterious murder of former the Pakistan Muslim League – Functional (PML-F) leader Saira Naseer. The woman was found in a completely burnt state in a car on December 7 and everyone was baffled as to how she was killed.
According to Hyderabad SSP Peer Muhammad Shah, the murderer did not leave behind many leads but they were still able to solve the mystery with the help of subtle evidences.
According to the SSP, Saira, who was also a former women wing leader of PML-F, was killed with a pestle by her son. “He [the son] struck her over the head with a pestle. She instantly fell unconscious and started bleeding,” the officer said, adding that she eventually died from the injury. Interestingly, the pestle was recovered from the kitchen of her bungalow in Defence Phase II in Hyderabad around 20 days after the incident.
Saira’s body was later taken to Hyderabad’s outskirts in the Husri area in her car where the vehicle was set ablaze in the dark of night, the SSP claimed.
The SSP further gave insights into the mother-son relationship, saying that Saira was a very dominating woman who had developed friction with her son, Fahad, ever since he married a woman of her own choice, who already had a daughter from a previous marriage.
During the last fight they had, Saira slapped Fahad which really infuriated him. He left the room and came back with a pestle, with which he hit his mother. He did not intend to kill her and initially thought that she had fell unconscious. However, Saira had bled to death and Fahad later tried to cover his tracks with his wife’s assistance by setting her ablaze in her own car.
Connecting the dots, the police found out about Fahad’s involvement and he later admitted to his crime.
The police are awaiting Saira’s DNA report. The murder’s FIR was lodged on the complaint of Saira’s daughter. The SSP said the couple will be produced before a court today (Friday) for their physical remand.
