Another brutal rape, murder case reported in Sargodha

Just days after the horrific rape and murder case of eight-year-old Zainab from Kasur shook the nation, another similar case was reported in Sargodha.

It has been learnt that a 16-year-old girl was raped and brutally murdered in Bhalwal tehsil of Sargodha which lies in Punjab. The body of the deceased girl was recovered from an agricultural field on Thursday morning.

According to the details of the incident provided, the girl had gone to the field in the morning for daily lavatory needs, as is the norm in the rural areas of the country. Over there, a group of men attacked and raped her. The unidentified men later strangled her to death and left her body in the field.

The victim’s family became concerned when she did not return from the field and when they went after her, they found her body lying there.

Police was informed and the victim’s body was shifted to a nearby hospital where a postmortem will be carried out to reveal further details about the brutal rape and murder.

An FIR was registered against unidentified men and investigations have begun in the case.

After the brutal rape and murder case of Zainab was reported a few days ago, people from all walks of life have come forward to register their protest. They are demanding justice in the case and to award exemplary punishment to the culprit so that such incidents can be avoided in the future.
