Deepika denies engagement rumors

Ever since Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli tied the knot late last year, there have been lots of speculations going on regarding other famous celebrity couples’ future.

One of these famous couples is that of Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. The couple has been dating on and off for the past four years now and these days rumors are rife that they have already gotten engaged.

According to reports, Deepika and Ranveer got engaged while they were vacationing in Maldives. The duo went to the beautiful destination along with their families to ring in the near year and according to some sources, that is when Ranveer popped the question to his girlfriend.

Deepika recently appeared on Neha Dhupia’s show called BFFs with Vogue, along with her sister Anisha Padukone. When the host of the show asked the starlet about the engagement rumors, Deepika replied; “I was not engaged.”

Neha then asked to see her ring finger which had a tan line, implying that Deepika did sport a ring while vacationing. On this, Anisha remarked, “She has been engaged successively for the last four years.”

This is not the first time that Deepika has denied engagement rumors. Even last year, Deepika was asked whether she had any marriage plans to which she said; “There’s no such plan anytime soon. I’m not pregnant, I’m not having a baby, I’m not engaged and I’m not married. And I’m not even planning to get married anytime soon.”

There have been reports however, that Deepika and Ranveer have invested in a property in Goa, which suggests that they might be tying the knot soon.
