Dejected Indian lover takes own life while video calling girlfriend

An Indian boy who had been heartbroken after his girlfriend refused to marry him, took his own life while video calling her. The news made headlines in India, where such cases are on the rise.

According to the details provided, Ubhas Kumar belonged to Patna and he had been seeing his girlfriend for the past many months. However, when the time came to propose her for marriage, she refused his proposal sending him into depression.

Sources reveal that Kumar had called his girlfriend on the day of his death and was threatening to end his own life. His girlfriend became terrified to see that and pleaded with him not to kill himself. Eventually he agreed to her request and was taking out the bullets from the gun when he accidentally pressed the trigger and shot himself. Kumar died at the spot.

When Kumar’s family members did not hear from him for a long while, they became concerned and started calling him. When he did not respond, they eventually broke down his room’s door and found his body there with one phone in hand and the pistol in another.

It was later revealed that Kumar was suffering from severe stress after his girlfriend had rejected his proposal. He had tried to take his own life on a previous occasion as well.

India has seen an increase in the number of suicides committed by heartbroken lovers.

A few months ago, an Indian girl made a suicide video and sent it to her ex-lover after he refused to marry her.
