Mathira parts ways with husband Flint J terming it ‘one-sided love’

Mathira’s fans were shocked to find out that the former VJ, model and actress had called it quits with her husband Flint J. The news came as a shock because the model’s social pages used to be filled with loving pictures of herself and her husband.

However, it appears that the divorce came as a result of her husband falling for someone else. While the reason was not specifically mentioned in the posts, Mathira did throw hints here and there, of Flint J having feelings for someone else and wanting to spend his life with the other person.

The couple remained married for four years and even has a son together named Aahil. They tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2013 and had their son a year after.

Flint J is a Dubai-based Punjabi rapper and the family was living in Dubai for the past four years.

Mathira opened up about the devastating news through a series of posts on Instagaram.

“I tried to keep this marriage, I tried my best to hold on. It was not easy and yes, people will judge me in because the woman is always blamed and labelled,” began the former VJ. “Yes, the divorce is done. Everything I am going through and went through, only I know and I don’t need anyone to know it. I was supporting myself and my child this whole time and will carry on doing so. I loved you and still do.”

Mathira went on to add, “I realised I am not rich. But I have my son to look forward to! I will teach him how to make a home and not break one because he is going to be a dad and some beautiful girl’s husband as well one day.”

“Marriage ends with people and papers, love does not need papers,” wrote Mathira.

The posts clearly shows that Mathira is still in love with her husband but had to go through this ordeal because he did not love her anymore.
