Indian father chops off son’s hand for watching porn

A conservative Indian-Muslim father chopped off his young son’s hand because he used to watch too much porn on his smartphone.

The incident took place in Indian city of Hyderabad on March 5, after which the father turned himself in to authorities.

According to reports, the angry father cut-off his son’s right hand and later turned himself in at the Pahadishareef police station which is located in Hyderabad.

Upon investigations it was revealed that Muhammad Abdul Qayyum Qureshi was a butcher by profession and he had warned his 19-year-old son, Khalid Qureshi, multiple times to not use his phone incessantly for watching porn.

On Sunday, the father caught Khalid watching porn movies on his cell phone and tried to snatch his phone away. However, the young man bit his father’s hand and ran off. After returning home late that day, he again continued with his usual business, which led to further altercation between the two.

An angry Abdul Qayyum then brought his knife and chopped-off Khalid’s right hand. The family immediately rushed Khalid to a nearby hospital where they told them that the possibility of restoration of his hand was bleak.

Family members told authorities that Khalid was one of the four children of Abdul Qayyum and he was very lazy and spent most of his time on the phone. He had recently joined a job after a lot of persuasion but was irregular at work.

Meanwhile Abdul Qayyum went to the police and admitted his crime. The police have booked an attempt to murder case against the father and remanded him in judicial custody.
